Welcome to The World of Discovery

 

   On behalf of the staff at The World of Discovery Early Learning Center, I would like to welcome you and your family to our facility.  This child development center provides care for children between the ages of six weeks and six years.  Our aim is to provide a safe environment, enriching experiences and warm, loving care for your child during his/her stay with us.

    As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to find a center that focuses on the individual child as well as the family.  We try to make this a comfortable environment for both parent and child.  I extend an open invitation for you to drop in for informal visits.  This will give us the opportunity to better understand your expectations for your child.  The following pages will help you to become better acquainted with our center and policies.  I look forward to having your family join ours!

Welcome Summer!  This month we will enjoy such fun themes as Fourth of July, Dinosaur Week, Teddy Bear Week, The Great Outdoors, and Water Week.  We will still be reviewing and practicing our educational skills.  We will have visitors this month that include the Dancing Dinos, Papa Joe, and Shawn Middleton.  We have started using the wading pools, waterslide, and our outdoor Mud Kitchen!!

REMINDER**  The World of Discovery will be closed on 7/21 for staff professional development day.  This is a whole day devoted to teaching the staff new ways to enhance their curriculum and our school's philosophy!
